Glasswing Pricing vs. Public Fable 5 Pricing

Project Glasswing informational Last reviewed Updated

The Glasswing rate

During the April 2026 Mythos Preview, Glasswing participants paid roughly $25 per million input tokens and $125 per million output tokens. This premium pricing went with premium access: the unrestricted Mythos edition, delivered to a small, vetted cohort.

How that compares to public Fable 5

When the public Fable 5 edition arrived, its pricing was $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens after the introductory period — roughly 2.5x cheaper than the Glasswing Preview rate across both input and output. Fable 5 also had a free window (June 9–22, 2026) for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans; see Fable 5 free.

Why the gap

The price difference tracks the access model. Glasswing pricing covered an early, restricted, classifier-free edition for a hand-picked group. Public Fable 5 is the safeguarded, generally-available edition, priced for a broader market. Same underlying model, very different distribution — and therefore different economics. See Fable 5 pricing for the public-side detail.

A note on current access

Pricing is academic while access is paused: the June 12, 2026 export-control directive suspended both Fable 5 and Mythos 5, and that suspension is currently active. Confirm the live status before planning costs.

Glasswing covers early, restricted, unrestricted-model access for a vetted cohort, while Fable 5 is the safeguarded, generally-available edition priced for a broader market.
