Zero-data-retention (ZDR)

Also: ZDR

Glossary informational Last reviewed Updated

Zero-data-retention (ZDR) is an arrangement in which a model's prompts and outputs are not stored, an option that Fable 5 and Mythos 5 do not provide.

What it normally means

Under ZDR, request and response data is not retained after processing. It is a common requirement for sensitive enterprise workloads.

Why it doesn't apply here

Fable 5 and Mythos 5 do not offer ZDR. Instead they use 30-day retention, consistent with their handling as Covered Models. Plan accordingly if data residency or non-retention is a hard requirement.
